Love the decor and lake side setting of Eddys. A group of 4 of us went for a Friday night dinner in early June. Not overly busy and we were able to snag an outdoor table.
We were using the dinner as a time to catch up and our waitress seemed annoyed she had to come back a couple times to ask us if we were ready. I could see if it was busy and they needed tables but this was not the case.
We did order to appease her finally. The grilled ceasar and roasted califlower app were both amazing! Highly recommend. The rest of the group enjoyed their food as well. I'd come back for the setting but not the service.
I was fairly impressed with the food and drink selection. We didn't have much luck at other local restaurants, so we tried the one in our hotel. And it did a pretty good job! We tried a number of items - the brisket sandwich, the wings, the pork chop and the walleye. All of the entrees were really good. However, the sides left something to be desired - the creamed spinach and garlic potatoes could be made at home. Overall, it was a good experience.
A little pricey for the area but still really good! Smile once in a while and greet your patrons. Went up to watch the races and wanted to grab a drink. Solitaire 123. The bartender was pure evil.
No personality. No sense of urgency what so ever. We probably sat at the bar for 15+mins had to beg her for one cold beer.
Was not busy in there because the races were still going and it was afternoon. Left and went back up for dinner way later around 830.
Same lady with a few more younger gals. This lady still didnt care to even be alive. I understand working doubles and long shifts, i understand things happens but its the business. I am also in. You put a smile on your face and leave your shit at the door. Your working to serve not create a miserable experience.
Stopped in to have breakfast at Eddy's after a camping weekend. Right near Kathio State Park, the establishment looks like it was recently renovated and has a hip, modern vibe which is pretty cool being in the boon docks. Food was impressive! I had some of the best biscuits and gravy I've had in a while; slightly spicy with a robust savory flavor, the chunks of sausage were delicious when smothered over warm and flaky biscuits. Also had some pancakes which were good, and a taste of French toast which was served with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
